Riding the Gnarly Wave of Life

the time has come

i stood naked in the belly of my being
stakes riveted the skin to the bone
and i howled, stretching, bearing down
like a churning primal ocean.
each wave returning me to a distant shore
far from the one i left
one i never thought i'd meet.
he glimmered there, like sunlight on waves
reaching out to me as i writhed,
wanting so much to meet him.
his eyes drew me in, telling me silent secrets
the center of my world imploded,
back arching, soul soaring up on the plateau of my voice,
every fiber of the physical birthing the intangible into place,
and suddenly everything was still.
i reached into the water between my legs and swept him to my breast.
he raised his head, looked at me and howled!
the time has come to turn the page,
the time has come to bathe in the freedom of love.
the time has come to murder the ego, drown the fear.
just a spark from the universal fire grew into this little raging aries child.
the timeless cycle continues
i am honored.
